Making your children feel special is so important and as a parent, we always try to go the extra mile. Here are some tips on how to take your child’s birthday party to the next level:
Get The Basics in Place
Whilst it is good to have all the extra features planned for a birthday party, it is more important to have the basics done correctly. This includes the invitations, the reminders, the location, the games and everything else that we take for granted at a party. Get these completed well and everything else will fall into place.
Invite More Than Necessary
We have seen recently about the child that spent his birthday party alone because the few people invited didn’t attend. We highly recommend that to stop this happening, more people need to be invited than you planned for and give them at least 4 weeks notice.
Hire A Mascot
There is nothing quite like seeing a child meet their favourite character. Hiring a mascot or buying mascot costumes allows for you to take the party to the next level. All the children will love the party and even more so if there is a mascot on offer. Let your kid get the attention they deserve on their birthday and be in the spotlight from the character.
Give Each Guest a Small Present
Children love receiving gifts and what better way then giving them some candy or goodies as a way of saying thank you for attending. If the guests have a good time then they will be certain to give your child that birthday attention. This is a win-win for everyone.
Buy a Piñata
Piñatas are famous in Latin America and the US for birthday parties. However they are increasingly being found at parties in the UK. A piñata is a container often made of papier-mâché and filled with sweets, chocolate and candy. The children then take turns trying to break it until all the sweets fall to the floor. Tip: Set it up so that the birthday child is the one who finally breaks it open, to the delight of everyone else.
Throwing a birthday party can be a stressful time, however get the basics planned and add some special surprises then it will most certainly be a hit.
