Visiting Italy in August
This August we plan to visit a place which we have been excited about for the past several years, Italy. Whilst we haven’t determined where we will be going to but this article will act as some research for us. As August will be in the middle of summer we expect the weather to be great and we will love to see as much of the country as we can in the limited time we have.
Whilst my family members have been to Milan and Rome, I still haven’t visited and therefore this will be new to me.
I think that no trip to Italy is complete without doing the following:
Visiting the Colosseum – Rome
This is part of history and from research is the number one visited attraction in the country. We plan on visiting Rome first and therefore this will be the primary destination.
My favourite food is pizza and going to the home this delight is something I am more excited about than anything else. Naples is home of the Neapolitana and therefore this could be a destination for us to visit. We are told that Naples is not the safest city and we should take precaution but from visiting other countries in Europe I doubt this is any different.
Sharing Ice Cream
‘Gelato’ as it is named here, we will be sharing on more than one occasion hopefully Ice Cream. With hundreds of flavours and some of the best ice-cream in the world we will be doing research where to find the best, if you have any tips please let me know.
For the time being we are in the United Kingdom and the best Pizza in London Mimmo La. Have you been to Italy and have a recommendation that you would love to share? If so we would love to hear about it and we could end up going.
